James Arthur Boyle, Sr. was born February 17, 1935 in Baden, MO. He was the son of John J.W. and Stella (nee Mierisch) Boyle. He died on May 26, 2016 at Jefferson Barracks V.A. Medical Center in St. Louis, MO at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lucille (nee Conard Farber) Boyle, Crystal City, MO. Marilyn and Jim were married on May 26, 1960 in Greenfield, Iowa; He is also survived by his children, James “Jimmy” (Debra) Boyle, Jr., De Soto, MO; Michael A. (Cecilia) Boyle, Bebee, AR; Kurt Boyle, Hillsboro, MO; and Brett A. (Stacy) Boyle, De Soto, MO; twelve grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Karen Yvonne Boyle, and siblings, John J. Boyle, Gene R. Boyle, Mary Jane Martin; Sally Boyle; and Gerald Boyle. James served in the U.S. Army. He was owner of Au-Toma-Ton Designs Drafting Service in De Soto, MO; a life member of AmVets Post #48; and a member of Plattin United Methodist Church.
