Jacob Dale Roney VanMeter was born in St. Louis County on August 25, 1995. He died on June 12, 2017 at the age of 21. He is survived by his mother: Melissa (Lawrence) VanMeter; his father: Darren Roney; one brother Dalton (Katie) Roney; three sisters: Mariah (Ricky) Woods, Makayla Roney, and Samantha VanMeter; his grandparents: Kathleen (John Hought) VanMeter, Phil and Linda Humphries, Bob and Mary Roney, and Rita Penberthy; two nieces: Willow and Meadow Woods; and one nephew Brayden Roney. Also survived by his aunts and uncles. A graduate of Hillsboro High School Jacob worked as a yard laborer for McCarthy Brothers Construction Company. He loved hunting and fishing and everything outdoors. Rev Dan Pitchers will officiate the funeral service.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry C. VanMeter.
