J.H. Wood was born July 11, 1932 in Lonoke, AR. He was the son of Homer and Bessie (nee Weeks) Wood. He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Randal) Hubbard, Hillsboro, MO; Karen (Russell) Smith, Marston, MO; and Kathy (Steve) Hubbard, Hillsboro, MO; daughter-in-law, Kathy Wood, Amarillo, TX; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth (nee Gardner) Wood; two sons, Jackie Dale Wood and Charles Wood; one brother, William “Virgil” Wood; and one grandchild, Russell Smith, Jr. J.H. worked for General Motors and served in the U.S. Navy.
