Please accept my deepest sympathies. When I learn of an older family member falling asleep in death, my heart goes out to them. I lost my Mom at 97 and it was so very painful. We don't want to let go even when they have been blessed with a long life. I got alot of comfort from the Bible's account found at John 11: 11-44 where Jesus resurrects Lazarus from death. Jesus called it "sleep" because he knew he would awaken him. It is the same for Herbert. He will awaken him to be reunited with his family once more just like Lazarus was brought to his family. Your joy will abound and all the tears of sadness will turn into great joy. Until then, we must wait on the Great Time Keeper, Jehovah God, to give His son Jesus the signal to begin. I pray God's peace will soothe your hearts and give you strength and hope during the coming days until you are reunited with Herbert.
