Hi Doris and Linda, I am very sorry for your loss. Boots is one of the last remaining guys who used to go with my parents in the fifties and sixties. I have not seen Boots since the early 60's but I still have fond memories of him from the stock car races, boating/skiing on the lakes and his visits with my dad at the "Body Shop". I remember his mild mannerisms and his smile. Attached is a picture of him in the Stock car dad set up for him. I thought it was Howard (Rum) at first but the picture had boots' name on it. Also Rum drove a different car. If I remember correctly he only drove it a few times. From stock cars to boating it was a long run of fun times. Don Harris, Hollywood MD harrisdm@md.metrocast.net

Linda--knew your dad well--We were in high school at the same time, and of course I knew him as you all came through school. He and your mother were fine people--I can still see your mother as she sat in her pew at St Andrew's..I remember that sent met good kids--fun people to be around. Know that your dad is resting in the arms of a loving God. Mary Alice Weber

My dad was a wonderful man. He demonstrated his greatness in his quiet loving way of caring for mom for well over ten years as she struggled with, and continues to struggle wth dementia. In 1970 mom fractured her hip while waterskiing, and that event catapulted dad into a lifetime caregiver. Mom, and her comfort, was always his first priority. He bought cars, canes, wheelchairs and walkers based on her needs alone. He treated her Iike a "china doll" and was thrilled that she chose him to be her husband. In spite of his own struggles he lovingly put her first, and always wanted her by his side. He was simply remarkable and my love for him grew as I witnessed his sacrifices. Love and miss you so much dad, Linda :broken_heart:
