Harry (Mr. Acre) was one of the most memorable and remarkable teachers from our high school years. Gary and I both graduated in 1961 and were students of psychology with Mr. Acre. He introduced areas of interest before unknown to us and made our learning so interesting and fascinating. I think he opened many doors to our understanding about life itself.
We'll remember Mr. Acre for all he gave us and hope that his family receives the peace and love needed at this time. Thank you for sharing.

We remember seeing Mr. Acre's truck with a boat on top around DeSoto. Mrs. Acre, Frosty, Valerie and all your family, we are so sorry to hear the passing of Mr. Acre. He would always smile when I saw him in town. At this time, lean on God for comfort.
With sympathy,
Alan and Sherry (nee Flatbush) Clark

Mr. Acre was absolutely my favorite teacher! I always remembered how interesting he could make history and psychology. We just celebrated our 50th High School Reunion in De Soto and many of us talked about how great of a teacher he was.
I am a retired teacher of 36 years, and it was such an honor to have had Mr. Acre as my teacher.
