Harold A. Wideman was born in Richwoods on March 22, 1927 a son to Earl and Nora (nee Hanson) Wideman. He died at Potosi Manor on July 10, 2016 at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife Mary (nee Rash) Wideman, Potosi, one son: Greg (Stella) Wideman, Richwoods; six grandchildren: Jeff (Jennifer) Wideman, Lisa Headrick, Angie Young, Tina (Lonnie) Goff, Christy Gilmore, and John Jones, 18 great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law: Jack (Brenda) King, Richwoods. He is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters: Norma Jones and Phillis King; two sister: Lorene Wideman and Jean Brunk; and one brother: Clyde Wideman. An Army Veteran of World War II he worked at Wagner Electric and Engineered Air in St. Louis. Following his retirement he and Mary moved to Richwoods and became active in the community serving as sexton for the Horine Cemetery as well as volunteering with the Lions Club and attending the Free Will Baptist Church-Richwoods. He was also a member of Lodge #131 A.F. and A.M. and Sumner Presbyterian Church. Wayne Leftridge will officiate the funeral service..
