Harold George “Howdy” Holmes, II was born in Crystal City on February 2, 1972 a son to Harold G. and Opal L. (nee Watson) Holmes. He died at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson on August 23, 2020 at the age of 48. He is survived by his companion Belle Parmeley and her daughter Clara Jean Bradley; three daughters: Sarah (Jake Ortmann) Holmes, Hillsboro, Samantha Holmes, De Soto, and Laura (Rion Burns) Holmes, Bonne Terre; one son: Luke (Kelsey) Madden, Cape Girardeau, MO; four grandchildren: Holden Lane, Leon, Eli, and Zoey; one sister: Rhonda (Russ) Boehringer, High Ridge; and one brother: Ron (Carole) Adams, St. Louis. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Don Adams. Howdy was a member of B.P.O.E. #689 and enjoyed working on cars.
