George Lee Parsons was born September 1, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the son of Earl Frank and Bertha Mae (nee Bohannan) Parsons. He died on January 27, 2013 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO at the age of 82 years. he is survived by his brothers, Frank (Shirley) Parsons, Pevely, MO and Jack (Marlene) Parsons, St. Louis, MO; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War earning several commendations including 3 Bronze Service Stars, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and a Meritorious Unit Commendation. He continued his military service following the war by serving as Company Clerk for the 1035th Maintenance Unit of the Missouri National Guard until his retirement. He also owned and operated Mr. George’s Bio-Wave Salon in De Soto and was a member of the First Baptist Church-De Soto.
The Rev. Dr. Jeremy Muniz will officiate the services followed by interment in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks with full military honors.
