My Deepest Sympathies to the family and friends of Genevieve Spencer. I have really enjoyed reading her 1937 daily diary entries since 01/01/2009 on Twitter.Com.
I very much hope David Griner continues to post Genny Spencer's diary entries from 1937-1941, even though Genevieve Spencer survived just the first two months of the Twitter submissions.
My Mother - Jean Paxson Casey - of Springfield, Missouri died last October from complications associated with severe dementia at the age of 82.
Again, please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of Genevieve Spencer of DeSoto, Missouri.

I moved onto Walsh just before Norm passed away. I had the pleasure of spending several evenings with Gen, hearing her stories about growing up and taking care of her mom and swing a-way. She gave my daughter Celeste a homemade blanket when she was born. I still have it. Gen was a very wonderful person. I miss her dearly and I will pray for her.

Gen and Norm became our friends through visits to our daughter Andrea when they lived on Walsh street and in Webster Groves. We had some wonderful visits that typically included great food, conversation and music. We will miss Gen and feel fortunate to have met both Gen and Norm and to have such pleasant memories of those visits. Sincerely, Louise Kruse
