Fern Pigg was born on Dec. 20, 1929 in De Soto, MO. She was the daughter of Ray & Mary Isabelle (nee Bakewell) McCurdy. She died on March 28, 2012 at her residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 82.
She is survived by her husband Cleo Pigg, De Soto, MO; they were married on August 30, 1948 in Farmington, MO; she is also survived by her children, Debbie (Alvin “Gene”) Allen of De Soto, Larry (Sandie) Pigg of Festus, & Darren (Kimberly) Pigg of Grand Rapids, MI; Siblings, Bev (David) Ringling of De Soto, Jerry (Joan) McCurdy of De Soto, & Rev. Tom (Ann) McCurdy of Florissant; Grandchildren, Tammy (Brian) Sadler, Melinda (David) Draper, Susan (Brian) Pfeiffer, Christy (Jeremy) AuBuchon, & Amanda Pigg; Great Grandchildren, Katelynn, Cora, Andrew, Ashley, Joshua, Brendon, Kirstan, Haley, & Lyndse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Doug McCurdy.
Mrs. Pigg was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Victoria; she retired after 30 years of service to the Hillsboro School District as a Secretary.
Interment will be at Hillsboro Cemetery.
