Eugene “Pete” Reed was born on April 28, 1930 in Warrenton, MO. He was the son of Allen & Myrtle (nee Miller) Reed. He died on November 5, 2010 at his home in Hillsboro, MO at the age of 80.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth “Liz” (nee Sansoucie) Reed of Hillsboro, MO; children, Ann Reed of Pevely, MO; Debbie Moiser of De Soto, MO; Linda Smith of Hillsboro; Susie (Mike) Jennewein of De Soto; Mark (Kim) Reed of Hillsboro; Stephanie ( Paul) Schell of Jackson, MO; Patti (Jason) Buerk of St. Louis, MO; Alison Reed of Hillsboro, MO; siblings, David (Janet), Donald (Linda), Robert, Les(Mary Beth), Roger, Frank, and Martha Reed, Helen Agnello, Jane (Lloyd) Thebeau all of Hillsboro and Marcella Luechtefeld of Glencoe, MO; 19 Grandchildren; and 4 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Dolly Thomeczek.
Mr. Reed served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He served the City of De Soto as a Police Officer for 22 Years. A member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 6401, Cardinal Glennon Assembly 567, & Amvets Post #48.
