Emma L. “Cookie” Gillam was born April 14, 1931 in Potosi MO a daughter to Lawrence and Harriett (nee Miller) Gamble. She died March 19, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband Earl Gillam; her children Danny (Paulette) Gillam, Dennis (Kelly) Gillam, Debbie (Larry) Kiger, and Devona (Mike Mesey) Schmaltz; grandchildren Jason Gillam, Melissa Hemmen, Megan, Kayla, and Katie Gillam, Jennifer Kiger, Ron and Krysten Schmaltz, and Megan and Dalton Mesey; eight great grandchildren, Cassondra Whittier, Tyler, Haley, Colten, Austen, Luke, Olivia Gillam, & Jenna Hemmen; siblings Maxine (Steve Politte) Jarvis, Barbara (Roy) Kean, Faye (Jimmy) Allan, Kenny (Fay) Gamble, David (Brenda) Gamble, Pat (Larry Doebert) Wilson. She was preceded in death by one grandson Daniel Gillam; sisters Pauline Heifner, Beulah Huff, Blanch Asher, Iva Skaggs, and Lottie Gamble and brothers Grover, Homer, Paul, Ricky, Teddy, and Carl Gamble.
