Elizabeth “Elsie” Marie Kreft was born in St. Louis on March 23, 1919 a daughter to Herman and Lizzie “Elizabeth” (nee Kniest) Scuras. She died at Baisch Nursing Center in De Soto on November 14, 2015 at the age of 96. She is survived by her daughter Sandy Parmeley, De Soto; two grandsons: Craig “Butch” (Carol) Parmeley, Kansas City, MO and Mike (Cherie) Parmeley, Wentzville;and four great-grandchildren; Lauren, Drew, Alexis, and Abbigail. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lawrence Kreft; two sisters: Dot Meyer and Ruth Dore; and four brothers: Andy, Elmer, Ervin, and Max Scuras; and her son-in-law: LeRoy “Deacon” “Bill” Parmeley. She was a homemaker and seamstress. She and her husband volunteered for many years at the Jefferson Barracks Veterans Hospital. She was a member of D.A.V.A. Chapter #1, American Legion Auxiliary and AmVets Post #48 Auxiliary. There will be an AmVets Auxiliary Service Monday at 7:00PM. Rev. Bruce Valle will officiate the funeral service.
