Dorse Edward “Ed” Harrison was born in Piedmont , MO on March 5, 1933 a son to Robert Elmer “Tootie” and Rhoda (nee Westmorland) Harrison. He died on September 25, 2013 at The Villa’s in De Soto at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife: Sundaye (nee Lewis) Harrison, De Soto; three sons: James (Ronda) Harrison, Hillsboro, Bryan (Sherrie) Harrison, De Soto, and Michael (Anita) Harrison, De Soto; two step-daughters: Jody (Patrick) Forhan, Bloomsdale, and Jenna (Don) Hoffee, De Soto; five grandchildren: Zachary Harrison, Cody Harrison, Carter Harrison, Damien Harrison, and Samantha Harrison; two step-grandchildren: Kaylee Forhan and Joycelyn Fallert; and three step-sisters Linda Fay Brawley, Wanda Mae Winemiller and Shirley Eads. He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Betty Henson, Willa Jean Chilton, and Nellie Jo Quinton; and one brother Robert Henry “Hank” Harrison.
Mr. Harrison served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a machinist and tool and die maker having retired from Luner Tool and Die. He then worked for several years as a security guard for Jefferson College. He was an avid outdoorsman. Rev. Fr. Charlie Hart will officiate the funeral service with burial to follow with military honors at the Stafford Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Jefferson College Foundation Scholarship Fund.
