Dorothy Lee Willett was born in De Soto on November 23, 1926 a daughter to David and Lillian (nee Hague) Irwin. She died at The Villa’s in De Soto on August 18, 2019 at the age of 92. She is survived by her children: Jim (Carolyn) Willett, De Soto and Nancy (Gary) Englich, St. Charles; four grandchildren: Christa Willett, John (Trudy) Willett, Jeff (Michelle) Kirk, and Trisha (Greg) Hixson; and five great-grandchildren: Adrienne Hixson, Erica Hixson, Melissa Hixson, Cole Kirk, and Odessa Willett. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John H. Willett, a granddaughter: Kelly Willett; three sisters: Grace Derickson, Mary O’Shea, and Shirley Sansoucie, and two brothers: Walter Irwin and Elmer “Boodie” Irwin. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
