Donald Fitzgerald was born on November 3, 1933 in Elvins, MO; he was the son of the late Marvin & the late Virgie (Chrisco) Fitzgerald. He died on February 2, 2012 at the age of 78.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, one son, John (Jane) Fitzgerald of Owensboro, Kentucky, one daughter, Jane Ellen Fitzgerald of Spring HIll, Kansas, and two grandchildren, Tyler Fitzgerald and Lori (Jonathon) Bequette, (Isaiah & Alex), two nieces, Sandra (Gale) Marler of Elvins, MO and Judy (John) Rasche of Decatur, IL, brother-in-law, James Weber of Independence, MO, and sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Weber and Merlin Weber of De Soto, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fitzgerald was a teacher and Middle School Principal for the Hillsboro R-III District for 31 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Board of Trustees for Jefferson College, served as Mayor of Hillsboro and was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
