Donald Clyde Wood was born on December 8, 1941 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of Clyde & Bernice (nee Griffith) Wood. He died on April 6, 2020 at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Herculaneum at the age of 78.
He is survived by his children, Eric (Katie) Wood of Festus, MO; Greg (Julie) Wood of Dittmer, MO; Jeff Wood of Imperial, MO; and Cindy Kerns of Leadwood, MO; stepsons, Robert (Debbie) Korhammer of Bridgeton, MO; Mark (Heather) Korhammer of Arnold, MO; and Steve (Cindy) Korhammer of Hillsboro, MO; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and two brothers, Ronnie Wood of Poplar Bluff and Lonnie Wood of Williamsville, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol Ann (nee Volz) Wood; and one sister, Freda Jo Moore.
Don was a retired General Motors assembly line worker and a member of the UAW.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to St. Jude.
