Debra Ann “Carla” Belew was born February 7, 1955, in Washington County, MO, a daughter to the late Henry and Ceceila Veronica (nee Portell) Wickerham. She passed away Nov. 27, 2009, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, at the age of 54 years.
She was married to Gregory Carl “Greg” Belew and to this union three children were born. Greg preceded her in death in Nov. of 2008.
Survivors include two daughters: Monica (Tom) Dawes; Jennifer (Carl White) Belew; a son, Gregory “Greg” Belew, all of De Soto; a brother: Donald (Shirley) Wickerham of Bloomsale; three sisters: Joan (Thomas) Harris and Linda (Michael) McMullin, both of De Soto and Karen (George) Cage of Hillsboro, a granddaughter, Samantha Myers of De Soto, nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Dawes.
She worked as a waitress at Travelers and the Iron Kettle and had previously worked as an attendant at Jefferson Square Laundry.
