Darrell Leonard Dolmage was born in Des Moines, Iowa on February 4, 1945 a son to Leonard and Marie (nee Hindman) Dolmage. He died at his De Soto home on May 17, 2023 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife Frances E. (nee Stephens) Dolmage; two sons: Al (Tara) Dolmage, Clinton, Iowa and Mike Dolmage, Des Moines, Iowa; two adopted sons: Joel and Jason; four grandchildren: Chase, Carrie, Jeanine and Tyler and one brother Denny (Cindy) Dolmage, Waukee, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Donna Marie Dolmage. Darrell had retired as an environmental engineer for LyondellBasell. He was a private pilot and member of Bluebird Aero Flying Club and Emmanuel Baptist Church. With his wife he also operated and worked with Pawsome Village for Friends in Need Pet Rescue. Darrell had an immense love for animals. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Open Door Pet Sanctuary, 6065 Duda Road, House Springs, MO 63051.
