Darrell Duane “Sammy” Tripp was born on August 23, 1942 in Fredericktown, MO. He was the son of Sam Edward Tripp and Loretta Blanche (nee Darnell) Tripp. He died on February 17, 2018 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis at the age of 75.
On December 28, 1963 in Benton, Arkansas he married Marilyn Jean (nee Fooks) Tripp, who survives in De Soto, MO; he is also survived by his children, Angela (Darryl) Carron of Bloomsdale, MO; Kevin (Dina) Tripp of Ste. Genevieve, MO; Jeff “Charley” (Michelle) Tripp of De Soto, MO; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Carolyn Miller of Fredericktown; Jo Tesson of Fredericktown; Roger Tripp of Fredericktown; Harry Tripp of Fredericktown; Jerry Tripp of Fredericktown; Tom Tripp of Bismark; Clifford Tripp of Fredericktown; Susie Watkins of Fredericktown.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1965.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Keith Tripp.
