Clifford Johnston
August 6, 1931 - February 11, 2011
Clifford C. “Kip” Johnston was born on August 6, 1931 in De Soto, MO; he was the son of Newton and Nora (Coleman) Johnston. He died on February 11, 2011 at his home in De Soto, MO at the age 79.
He is survived by his children, Verla (Lee) Butcher of Park Hills, MO; Debbie (Lou) Colmo of Imperial, MO; Cliffford “Kip Jr.” Johnston of Festus, MO; and Nathan (Pam) Johnston of Caseyville, IL; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He served his country in Korea with the U.S. Army where he received the Purple Heart Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Raymond “Buck”, Tony, Clyde, Nate & Gerald Johnston; and Della Vreeland, Mamie Cheek, Verle Harness, & Wilma Johnston.
He was a life member of the AmVets Post #48, VFW Post #1831, and the BPOE #689.
