What a loss! Memories of Clifford flood to my mind as I think of High School and football. What a friendly and solid force Clifford was! Always there, always looking for the best, always encouraging and leading. He proved himself as he lived in DeSoto as well. He wanted the best for DeSoto and all who lived there. As I would come back to visit occasionally, I would see Clifford carrying the mail. He always took the time to visit and inquire about how things were going. He didn't dwell on self, but expressed concern for others. I pray for strength and comfort for the family as they grieve the passing of Clifford.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the entire family. Having felt the sting of losing a loved one, I try to share the comfort with which I was comforted. The Bible has much hope for our loved ones. Jesus called himself "the resurrection and the life" and for good reason. He will bring them back to us again. I particularly love the scripture at John 11:11-44 where Jesus resurrects his friend Lazarus! Notice the pain the family is in, (Jesus knows your pain too) and then the joy when they are reunited with Lazarus. You will feel that great joy too. We must wait, but Revelation 21:3,4 says when it does happen we will never suffer this kind of loss again. While you wait on the Great Time Keeper, Jehovah God, may his peace soothe your sad hearts and give you hope and strength to get through the coming days.

I'm going to miss my "old Buddy" Cliff. I remember in High School, Cliff was always saying, "A herd of birds".

Clifford was always very kind and generous to me. My fondest memory of him is going to the circus and sitting by him and his family and he was so taken with our daughter Christy, who shared the same birthday with him, he made us all laugh and we had such a good time. I also have fond memories of him coming in to the insurance agency where I worked, just to visit and share a kind word, never a negative word about anyone else. He always complemented me and had a smile and a hug for me. I will miss you Clifford.. may you rest in peace and I pray God will comfort your family.

I am so sorry to hear of Clifford's passing. I will not be able to attend his service since I am in California. He was there with me at my brother's funeral and I am so sorry I will not be there for his. Dickie, please forgive me for not being able to be there to say goodbye to your wonderful brother and my friend. Clifford was truly a wonderful, God loving man and I am sure he is in heaven very happy and well. Ican see he and my brother Ronnie arm wrestling as I write this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. God Bless, Pam

My husband and I attended my brother's and nephew birthday party in Mo. about 2 yr. ago and we got to spend some time with Clifford. We had some real good laughs for sure then. We go so far back with our friendship since his dad and my dad worked together at the shops. Our families would be together at least once a week when we were growing up. Clifford never changed for sure. As we grew up we still stayed in touch and loved to just talk. Sorry, I will not be there in body but all of you know I am thinking about you in this family. Just saw the notice on Dietrich's marquee. So sorry for your loss. Clifford was a good friend of my mom and dad's (Daniel and Sylvia Duffner). My dad and Clifford were on the city council together. I've known him since I was a little girl and will remember him as a very kind person who always had a smile for everyone he met.

A warm, loving family friend with a great sense of humor and attitude for life. God just needed another angel to join him in heaven. You will be missed greatly here on earth.

Clifford was a great, fun-loving guy. My dad and his dad worked together at the shops and if I remember correctly, used to coon hunt together. We attended church together at Oakland. I have pictures of Clifford and me as the King & Queen of the Sweetheart Banquet. What memories!! He will be missed by many people!
