My memory of Charles goes back to when we were just kids and his Dad ,My uncle Raphael was building house and Charles and I would paint the basement with tar to keep it from leaking once the dirt was added to the walls . We actually played more than worked and we always seemed to make it down to the creek . I wouldn't even have known he passed away if I hadn't seen a post from Ronald on Gerald Tripp's timeline this evening and seen Charles as Ronald's friend as I was just looking at all the Vance's I don't even know anymore . Reminds me of and old gospel song "Precious memories " how they linger how they ever flood my soul . His Dad was a good uncle to me ,he always made me feel special . God bless you all and may his wonderful grace and mercy be a comfort to you at this time . Bob Stephens

Grandpa Chuck was a really good man. Always put others before himself. He always shared good memories and great advice. Never forgotten.

I went to high school with Charles. He was a good friend, he and I lost touch over the years. Have often thought of him and wondered where he was. My condolences to family.
