Charles Raphel “Chuck” Vance was born in Vineland on December 23, 1941 a son to Raphel Chester “R.C.” and Sylvia Marie (nee Maloney) Vance. He died at Mercy Hospital – Jefferson on January 4, 2015 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife: June Elaine (nee Aders) Vance, De Soto; two sons: Rick (Jane) Vance, Festus, and Scott (Tammy Bandy) Vance, De Soto; a sister: Bonnie Rhyneer, Festus; a brother: Ron (Cheryl) Vance, Caledonia; and seven grandchildren: Ashley, Dakota, Kassidy, Katie, Chris, Nathan, and Dylan. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Angela Vance; one son: David Vance; and a brother-in-law: David Rhyneer. A 1959 graduate of De Soto High School he worked until his retirement as a journeyman meat cutter. He was a memeber of Meat Cutters Local #88 and United Food and Commercial Workers Local #655. Rev Randy Casey will officiate the funeral service. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
