I first met Pooney when I moved to uncles house, it was right across the street from his house. Oh the nights I would listen to the boys play basket ball in his driveway. I even rode with him to the junior college in Hillsborough. What a kind sweet boy he was. Peace to you Pooney.

Our hearts are deeply saddened at the news of Pooney's death. We have many fond memories. He was a great guy, educator and friend; and will be missed by the many whose lives he touched, including ours. We will be unable to attend the service; and send our deepest sympathy to his family.
