Charles E. Hatcher was born on December 8, 1930 in Cutler, IL. He was the son of Floyd & Marjorie (nee Harrison) Hatcher. He died on May 16, 2022 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 91.
Charles is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mildred “Milly” E. (nee Martin) Hatcher of De Soto; one daughter, Elizabeth Baynes, has grandchildren, Tyler Charles Baynes & Elayna Elizabeth Baynes; 4 step children, Debbie Casey of Festus, MO, Donald Arnold of Kansas City, MO, Patty Arnold of Dallas, TX, and Steve Arnold of Grand Prairie, TX and their families which includes 5 additional grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Marvin Hatcher and sister, Lillian Marie Hatcher.
Charles retired as a driver from Guy Mullins Ambulance in 1980 and then retired from the De Soto School District as a custodian in 2003. He served in the United States Marine Corps and he attended First Baptist Church of Festus/Crystal City.
