Cecil Lee “Pete” Reed was born January 27, 1938 in Colchester, Illinois. He was the son of Lee Cecil and Alice Mae (nee Hawks) Wallace. He died on May 23, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, St. Louis, MO at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary (nee Hollingsworth) Reed, De Soto, MO; children, Eugene Beckwith, Wappeppelo, MO; Lena M. Bryant, Houston, MS; Malinda Beckwith, Springfield, MO; Pamela (Jack) Evans, Everton, MO; Angelia Beckwith, Rogersville, MO; one brother, Ray(Gloria) Reed, Lake of the Ozarks, MO; grandchildren, Hope, Kyle, Ashley, Amber, Curtis, and Heather; great-grandchildren, Bree, Cheyenne, Audrey, Braiden, & Ava Rose. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Carol Sue Wintchell and Beulah Fay Anderson; and one son-in-law, Bobby Bryant. Pete served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a machinist for Maverick Tube.
