Cecelia P. McCreary was born in Bruhl, Germany on April 3, 1936 a daughter to Herman and Christina (nee Heuwegen) Grosse-Allermann. She died on December 21, 2012 at her DeSoto home at the age of 76. She is survived by three children: Micheala Hutto, De Soto, Pamela McCreary, De Soto, and Patrick McCreary, DeSoto; and two brothers: Joseph Grosse-Allermann, Bruhl, Germany and Harry Grosse-Allermann, Kradenbach, Germany. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald R. “Jerry” McCreary who died October 22, 2012. Jerry and Cecelia had been married for over 51 years. She is also peceded in death by her parents; one sister: Liesel Nawrath; and two brothers: Andreas and Francis Grosse-Allerman. In 1998 Cecelia and her daughter Micheala became United States citizens in a ceremony in St. Louis. She had been a volunteer with the Girl Scouts, a room mother, and also taught gymnastics to young children. Rev. Michael “Frank” Gallagher will officiate the Memorial Service. Inurnment will be at the Calvary Cemetery, De Soto, MO.
