My thoughts and prayers are with all of Erich's friends, family and co-workers. Erich was the School Resource Officer at Windsor School in Imperial and he worked with me on the drug prevention coalition here in the Windsor District. I always liked and respected Erich. It was an honor to know him and work with him. I have not seen him for quite some time but anytime we talked about the early day's of the coalition his name came up. Take care and God Bless.

My deepest sympathy to Pam, Erich's children, & mother and all other relatives and friends that are grieving his loss. I so enjoyed working with Erich at the Sheriff's Department when I was still there. So many years have gone by since then . . . . Erich was on the SERT Team with my husband, Mark Potratz. Mark thought so much of Erich & all of his hard training and committment to the team. Sadly Erich left us too soon, but I feel so priviledged to have known him & to have worked with him. It was my personal privilege and honor tow work with Erich at the Sheriff's Department in Jefferson County. Erich was an outstanding officer and caring person, who took on the burden of law enforcement without complaint. Erich was always one of the first person's to step forward when extra effort was needed to get a difficult assignment done. There was never a need to ask for Erich's best effort, as you could always count on him to give his very best to even the most mundane tasks. His imposing physical strength was balanced by his quiet and caring disposition. I will miss his friendship, and the profession of law enforcement has lost one of our very best. Rest now, my brother. All your duties have been fulfilled, and your obligations met. Walk proudly in those golden halls known only to those who have served with honor and courage. Always your friend, Mark S. Potratz
