Charles Erich Schlanker was born February 23, 1963 in St. Louis, MO a son to Charles M. and Roberta (nee Woodington) Schlanker.  He died at his Victoria residence on November 11, 2011 at the age of 48.  He is survived by his mother, who lives in De Soto; his children: Charles J. “Jake” (Heidi) Schlanker, Hillsboro, Amanda (Jim Huffman) Schlanker, Pevely and their mother Kathy Conatser, Festus; one grandson: Trent Pitzer; one granddaughter, Jaycee Schlanker; one brother Kurt (Sarah) Schlanker, Atchison, KS; one nephew, Sam Schlanker; and fiance’e Pam Sweet and her children Lauren Whitehead and Paxton Sweet, all of Hillsboro. He is preceded in death by his father.  He served as Lance corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Deputy Schlanker served in various capacities with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department  for over 20 years, most recently as a bailiff in the Jefferson County Courts.
