Bonnie L. Duffner was born the second daughter of Jason and Margaret (nee Guettler) Moore near Valles Mines, MO on July 18, 1926. After graduation from De Soto High School during World War II she taught in several country schools as well as Pevely and St. Rose of Lima School before retiring after teaching for over 20 years.   She died in De Soto on January 21, 2017 at the age of 90.She is survived by two sons: Bernard Anthony “Tony” Duffner, De Soto and William “Bill” Duffner, De Soto; three grandchildren: Jason (Nikki) Duffner, Dallas, TX, Gretchen Duffner, Chambersburg, PA, and Andrew (Amanda) Duffner, De Soto; and five great-grandchildren: Patrick, Max, Ella, Anderson, and Aleah.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bernard “Bernie” Duffner; two sisters: Mae Muzzey Manos and Hazel Hardin; and one foster brother: Leonard “Jim” Jackson.
