On Thursday, May 14, 2020 Barbara J. Boettcher loving mother to Holly J. Boettcher and Ronald J. Boettcher went to meet her Savior at the age of 80 years 11 weeks and 4 days. Barbara was born to Delbert and Mildred (Sitze) Spane. She graduated from Marquand Zion High School in 1957. She moved to St. Louis and worked at International Shoe Company. She worked several positions but her favorite was being a homemaker. She married Ronald W. Boettcher on May 1, 1965. They were married for 45 years. Together they raised a daughter, Holly J. Boettcher and a son, Ronald J. Boettcher both from De Soto, MO. Barb loved her church family at First Baptist Church, De Soto, MO, the Red Hats and volunteering in Awana & Good News Club. She was known for her gentle spirit, compassion, understanding, and her quiet words of wisdom. Barb was preceded in death by her father Delbert, mother Mildred, sister Marilyn, and her husband Ronald. She is survived by her children, Holly & Jason, sisters, Lynn Meyers and Phyllis Wynn along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and one sister-in-law, Donna.
